The Festival

A space where music takes center stage — apart from distractions and the pressures of everyday life.apARTE is an international chamber music festival that brings together young string players and international artists, built around the idea of growing together on stage.We offer:

Why is a project like apARTE necessary?

"I grew up in the East Zone of São Paulo, where opportunities are scarce and children's dreams are kept away. Yet talent flourishes in silence, waiting for its moment. We are here to create connections through art and transform barriers into bridges."

When did the idea for apARTE first come?

"I recently witnessed a children's orchestra from a favela in Brazil perform for the Pope in the Vatican. This experience reinforced the idea of creating a space where motivated artists can step away from everyday chaos to inspire meaningful change in the world."

"Last year, I booked a last-minute flight to Cuba, for a project where artists were driven by an almost obsessive love for music. That's the authenticity that we're looking for: people who bring passion, talent, and endless curiosity to their music."

Free concerts featuring international artists and selected musicians from Brazil in iconic venues across Rio de Janeiro.Upcoming dates to be announced.

Application

apARTE is a chamber music program that brings together young string players and international artists for an experience focused on performing and learning side by side on stage.For its 2026 edition, 20 selected musicians based in Brazil, between 18 and 31 years old, will take part in the festival — including 11 violinists, 4 violists, 2 cellists, and 3 double bassists.

Das Festival

Eine Woche abseits vom schnellen Rhythmus des modernen Lebens. apARTE ist ein neues Kammermusikfestival zur Förderung aufstrebender Talente, gegründet von internationalen Musikern aus Mozarts Salzburg. Wir bieten:

  • Kostenlose Konzerte - Mit Spitzenmusikern aus Europa und Lateinamerika.

  • Vollstipendien - Unterkunft und Verpflegung für teilnehmende junge Musiker:innen.

Unsere Missionen

  • Brücken bauen – Eine kulturelle Brücke über den Atlantik schlagen, um Menschen durch die universelle Sprache der Musik zusammenzubringen.

  • Türen öffnen – Finanzielle Hürden für junge Talente aus benachteiligten Verhältnissen abbauen und Chancen zur Förderung ihrer Karriere schaffen.

  • Bühnen neu denken – Kunst durch die Stadt atmen lassen mit Konzerten in Museen und gemeinsam auf der Bühne lernen statt allein im Übungsraum.

Die erste Ausgabe des Festivals ist Antonio Meneses gewidmet, einem der beliebtesten Cellisten unserer Zeit. Organisiert von seinen letzten Schülern, ist apARTE inspiriert von seinem Weg aus bescheidenen Verhältnissen in Rio de Janeiro hin zu künstlerischer Exzellenz: "Üben, üben, üben!"

Warum ist ein Projekt wie apARTE nötig?

"Ich bin in der Ostzone von São Paulo aufgewachsen, wo es kaum Chancen gibt und Kinderträume fernbleiben. Doch Talente gedeihen still und warten auf ihren Moment. Wir sind hier, um durch Kunst Verbindungen zu schaffen und Barrieren in Brücken zu verwandeln."

Wann entstand die Idee zu apARTE?

"Kürzlich habe ich ein Kinderorchester aus einer brasilianischen Favela für den Papst im Vatikan spielen sehen. Das bestärkte mich darin, einen Raum zu schaffen, in dem motivierte Künstler aus dem Chaos des Alltags heraustreten können, um die Welt inspirierend zu verändern".

Wen würdest du gerne bei apARTE sehen?

"Letztes Jahr buchte ich spontan einen Flug nach Kuba, für ein Projekt, in dem Künstler von einer fast obsessiven Liebe zur Musik angetrieben wurden. Genau diese Authentizität suchen wir: Menschen, die Leidenschaft, Talent und unendliche Neugier in ihre Musik einbringen."

Wir freuen uns, 20 talentierte Musiker:innen zwischen 18 und 31 Jahren aus ganz Brasilien zur ersten Ausgabe von apARTE einzuladen, darunter 12 Geiger:innen, 4 Bratschist:innen, 2 Cellist:innen und 2 Kontrabassist:innen.

Erforderliche Unterlagen

Sende eure Bewerbung bis zum 27. April, einschließlich:

  • Einer kurzen Biografie mit der Erfahrung in der Kammermusik

  • Einem Selbstvorstellungsvideo

  • Aufnahmen des erforderlichen Probespiels-Repertoires
